FIT Legal was founded by Edyta Kniżewska, a derivatives lawyer, to offer a specialist legal consultancy born out of  years of hands on experience on the buy-side, sell-side and in private practice.

Edyta is a lawyer qualified to practice in England and Ireland. Having established her career in commercial litigation, Edyta started pursuing other avenues and came across a niche of lawyers specialising in trading agreements and derivative negotiations. Edyta went on to practice in the field of derivatives becoming a legal counsel and negotiator for Credit Suisse. Her next  move was to Man Group plc. It was in banking and finance that Edyta progressed her career in the derivatives market after leaving private practice before setting up FIT Legal.

With a mission to positively disrupt the sell-side / buy-side collaboration FIT Legal  helps market participants navigate through the myriad of trading relationships, whilst achieving quicker time to market for clients by delivering more structured and tailored solutions to trading documentation negotiations.

A more personalised approach allows the buy-side to launch their products more seamlessly and the sell-side to better understand, often delicate intricacies of the buy-side processes, hence be more accommodating.
